WOMEN'S HISTORY MONTH SPOTLIGHT:

kcrenshaw

Kimberlé Williams Crenshaw

An activist, philosopher, scholar, and lawyer, Dr. Crenshaw laid the foundation for critical race theory. She is most known for coining the term "Intersectionality", which takes into account people's overlapping identities in order to understand the complex prejudices they face.

We hope that everyone has a safe, restful, and-if you need it-productive break! Don't forget to practice social distancing as you navigate travel and catching up with family and friends.

Additionally, if you find yourself with the time, take a chance to check out the new resource section of our website diversity.truman.edu/resources. It is still in development and is growing all the time. Our hope is to provide helpful resources to faculty, staff, and students who will apply it around campus and beyond. We aim to help provide educational opportunities that will help facilitate and maintain the inclusive campus we strive to be. We welcome feedback and hope it is helpful.

-CDI Staff
