CDI MISSION STATEMENT:
The Center for Diversity and Inclusion (CDI) mission is to empower Truman State University community by dismantling disparities which prohibit fair and inclusive access to our resources, services, and programs, simultaneously strengthening the interpersonal relationships with historically unrepresented and systematically minoritized students. CDI believes it is the responsibility of every individual to intentionally contribute attitudes of open-mindedness that helps foster a culture of respect, inclusion, and belonging. Through academically, socially, and culturally responsive programming, CDI will continue to encourage students, administrators, faculty, and staff at Truman State University to engage in meaningful, transformative experiences while celebrating personal uniqueness and communal solidarity.

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT:
Brad's Letter to the CDI
It is with mixed emotions that I announce my departure from Truman. Beginning September 13th, I will take the next step in my professional journey as a Support Coordinator for a local agency that assists individuals who are eligible for services from the Division of Developmental Disabilities in accessing comprehensive medical, social, educational, and other specialized services. It is because of the collaborative partnerships with so many of the offices; departments; the incredible individuals around Truman’s campus; and the resources you all offer that I am able to enter this next stage of my career excited to continue connecting folks to valuable resources. I know that the timing of this is happening very quickly, and I may not get a chance to say my farewells to everyone who has played an important role in helping to make our community more welcoming and inclusive, but please know that I am so grateful for the support and community I have found at Truman as we work together to make it better each day.
And to the students, I cannot begin to say how thankful I am to have had the chance to work with so many incredible students over my time here at Truman. Our community is fortunate enough to have so many student leaders with powerful voices for equity and justice. I will always be there for anyone who needs it, and you also have an amazing network of supportive faculty and staff on campus that are invested in the success and wellbeing of each student.
